Melanie Limas An

Melanie is an LA-based Producer with 8+ years of experience in narrative films, short docs, and commercials.

Most recently, Melanie worked as Assistant to an Executive Producer on a scripted pilot for Hulu, as well as Assistant to the COO of Kenya’s Barris’s production company (Khalabo Ink Society). Previously she Production Coordinated commercials for brands such as Levi’s, Mercedes, and FujiFilm. This past year, Melanie’s short film Sonata earned official selection status at the Independent Shorts Awards, LA Shorts, and the Korean American Film Festival of New York, among others.

Melanie values empowering filmmakers with distinct stories to tell, having served as a member of Envision Cinema Conservatory’s first all-women crew, a representative on Delta Kappa Alpha’s Diversity Council, and the Producer of USC’s first ever Muslim undergraduate thesis film Sultana (now streaming on Kanopy).

From balancing her Mexican and Korean heritage to leveraging her education in Film & TV Production at two of the nation’s top-ten film schools (Loyola Marymount University and the University of Southern California), Melanie is a Producer well versed in existing in duality, mediating, and finding compromises.
